About Us
About the Artist — Abi
I’m Abi, an artist from China Academy of Art. I have been passionate about painting since childhood and have over 20 years of experience in art creation. I was honored to receive the LinFengmian Gold Award, which inspired me to continue exploring new forms of artistic expression.
Inspired by the unique spirit and emotions of animals, I create one-of-a-kind pet portraits that capture their personality and soul.
My work combines the traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage technique of Qiangjin-style（gold-filled engraving） knife carving with modern spray painting techniques. Each artwork is carefully hand-carved into 7–8 layers of acrylic, creating a realistic three-dimensional effect while maintaining a transparent background that enhances depth, light, and movement.
The coloring process is inspired by printmaking techniques. Pigments and color powders are carefully embedded into the carved lines, bringing each detail to life. Every piece is finished with an aluminum alloy frame, making it a unique collectible artwork.
